Transparent about cost, so you can decide clearly.

No surprises. Here is exactly what sessions cost, how payment works, and how to use your insurance benefits — even though I don't bill insurers directly.

$200
Individual therapy session
50 minutes. In person in Seattle or by secure telehealth throughout Washington State. Payment is due at the time of service.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of each session. I accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, personal check, and cash.

I'm an out-of-network provider — and I can help you use your benefits.

I don't bill insurance companies directly, which means you pay for sessions at the time of service. However, many insurance plans include out-of-network mental health benefits — and if yours does, you may be able to recover a meaningful portion of the session fee.

On request, I'll provide you with a superbill — a detailed, itemized receipt that contains all the information your insurer needs to process a reimbursement claim. You submit it directly to your insurance company; they reimburse you according to your plan's out-of-network terms.

Before we begin, it's worth calling your insurer and asking:

  • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits?
  • What is my out-of-network deductible, and have I met it this year?
  • What percentage of the allowed amount is reimbursed after the deductible?
  • Is a referral or prior authorization required?
  • How do I submit a superbill claim?

How the superbill process works

1
You pay at the session. The $200 session fee is collected at the time of service via Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, check, or cash.
2
I prepare your superbill. At your request — typically monthly — I'll generate an itemized receipt with the billing codes, diagnosis, and provider information your insurer requires.
3
You submit to your insurer. You send the superbill to your insurance company directly, by mail or through their member portal.
4
Your insurer reimburses you. If you have out-of-network benefits and have met your deductible, your insurer sends reimbursement directly to you. The amount depends entirely on your plan.

A note on privacy. Working privately means your care isn't subject to a diagnosis being filed with an insurer, or to a company determining how many sessions your healing is "allowed" to take. For many of the women I work with, that privacy and freedom are part of why they choose this path.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or paying out of pocket have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before beginning services. I'm glad to provide one — please ask during our consultation or before our first session.

Cancellation policy

Because your session time is reserved exclusively for you, I ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less notice are charged the full $200 fee. Genuine emergencies are always treated with understanding — please just reach out.

If anything here raises a question, bring it to our consultation — there's no obligation and no question is too small.
